Prison officer arrested in major smuggling investigation (1limburg.nl)

A 23-year-old employee of the prison in Sittard was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of smuggling in drugs and phones. He was arrested in the parking lot of the jail. Police and prison management confirmed the arrest following investigations by L1. The man was officially arrested on suspicion of "official corruption.
