Mr. Tommy Straten graduated with honors from Tilburg University. In addition to the master's degree in criminal law, he also completed the private law program. He completed the bachelor phase of his studies cum laude and participated in the Top Class program of the Faculty of Law, a program for excellent students. He gained practical experience during an internship at the Public Prosecutor's Office in Arnhem.

Mr. Straten has been part of the team at Weening Criminal Lawyers since 2017, previously as a scientific associate and since 2021 as a criminal lawyer. With his scientific approach, he supports the other criminal lawyers and contributes to the legal depth in large and complex criminal cases. This role fits perfectly with his particular interest in complex legal matters. Also in cassation cases at the Supreme Court he makes an important contribution with his scientific input. Because of his criminal and private law background, he is also able to take a broad look at deprivation cases and complex claims of injured parties.
