DEN BOSCH/OSS - The prosecution demands a prison sentence and tbs for the murder of Jacqueline Anthonijsz from Ossen. According to the lawyer of the suspect, 15 years imprisonment without tbs is sufficient.

The 48-year-old man from Ossen who stabbed his 43-year-old ex-wife Jacqueline Anthonijsz to death on June 15, 2010, should receive a 15-year prison sentence but without tbs with compulsory treatment. This was stated by lawyer F. Landerloo on Wednesday afternoon at the court of appeal in Den Bosch. In the first instance the court sentenced the man from Ossen to 10 years' imprisonment, in addition to tbs for 'manslaughter'. The prosecution had appealed that sentence. Attorney General G. Munnichs asked for a prison sentence of 11 years and tbs for 'premeditated murder'.

The Oxer suffered from a depressive disorder in 2010, according to the Pieter Baan Center. The man found it hard to swallow that Anthonijsz wanted a divorce from him. On June 15, the man stuck two large serrated knives in his pants and went to her house on the Hertewissel in Oss, resulting in the woman's death. The prosecution spoke of a prepared murder.
