The Public Prosecutor's Office on Monday demanded suspended prison sentences and a ban on keeping animals against a 62-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man from Maria-Hoop for neglecting animals in a court in Den Bosch. Earlier this year, the National Animal Welfare Inspectorate (LID) repeatedly found severely emaciated, sick or injured animals in and around their home. These included dozens of dogs, cats, chickens, ponies and horses. The animals were confiscated.
