The Penitentiaire Inrichting (PI) Zuid-Oost consists of the Roermond locations, Ter Peel in Evertsoord and ZBBI Te Roer in Roermond.

The Roermond location, together with the Ter Peel location, forms the Penitentiaire Inrichting (PI) Zuid-Oost. Roermond is a facility for male inmates and has the following regimes:

a House of Detention (HvB) with a capacity of 71 places;
a prison with 119 places;
an EZV (Extra Care Facility) with 12 places;

In addition, there are possible detention modalities, such as BPP (basic penitentiary program) and PP (penitentiary program).
