The Dutch Caribbean Judicial Institution is an essential organization located on the beautiful island of Bonaire. This location is of great importance as it serves as a house of detention and a prison not only for Bonaire, but also for St. Eustatius and Saba. With an impressive capacity, this institution has the ability to house up to 113 individuals from different backgrounds, including men, women, foreigners and minors. In fact, in the local language of Papiamento, this institution is referred to as Institushon Hudisial Karibe Hulandes, ubicá na Boneiru. Since October 10, 2010, the JI Caribisch Nederland, location Bonaire, has been under the careful management of DJI, ensuring the best possible care and supervision for those who reside within its walls.
