Maastricht - The lawyers of Donny M., suspected of kidnapping, abusing and murdering 9-year-old Gino van der Straeten, pleaded Friday at the court in Maastricht for a much lower prison sentence than demanded by the prosecution. Justice demanded 28 years in prison last Wednesday in addition to enforced tbs treatment. "An absurdly high demand," said counselor Sjanneke de Crom. "Here is no monster, no predator, here is a human being."
