Body of missing Al Jader found (Limburger)
SCHINVELD/MAASTRICHT - The body of Mouhammed Al Jader (29) from Schinveld, who has been missing since Aug. 5, has been found in Belgium. Al Jader was shot dead in a home in Germany the day after his disappearance. Forensic investigation must provide complete certainty whether the body, as is now believed, is also that of Al Jader, the Maastricht Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) announced last night.
Two people - a Dutch woman (57) living in Germany and a Dutch man (52) living in Belgium - are being held on suspicion of involvement in the death of Al Jader and making the corpse disappear. The body was found at the direction of the person co-responsible for disposing of the body, the prosecution reported. The body was reportedly not completely intact, parts of it were found in Lanaken.
The prosecution would not comment on that. Eight people were arrested and searches conducted in six locations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium in the case on Friday. Six of them have been released. Justice does not rule out more arrests. Because of the complexity of the case, it is not yet clear in which country the suspects will be brought to trial, a justice spokeswoman said.
About the motive for the murder, the prosecution does not want to say anything. Relatives and friends have stated that the evening before his disappearance he was threatened by the father of his second girlfriend, with whom he did not live together. Presumably this had to do with a disagreement about a weed deal. According to them, both were in the cannabis business. Al Jader was allegedly shot dead in the home of the woman still in custody, she is the mother of Al Jader's second girlfriend. Initially, virtually the entire family from Heinsberg would have been detained.
