Ten years in prison for killing Souhail
DEN BOSCH - The 23-year-old Tilburger who stabbed 39-year-old Moustapha to death was sentenced Wednesday on appeal to 10 years in prison. The court did not consider murder proven and sentenced the Tilburger for manslaughter. The court in Den Bosch had previously sentenced the suspect to 12 years in prison for murder.Souhail was stabbed to death on the corner of the Pironstraat on the night of January 20. An argument had preceded that on the Pieter Postplein.
As the later victim left with two others in a car, the 23-year-old Tilburger threw a can of beer after them. Souhail then returned and confronted the Tilburger, although the latter had a knife in his hand.
After Souhail's death, 150 people held a silent march.
