BRUNSSUM - According to some accounts, the 22-year-old co-accused then ran outside and returned when Vink had already been stabbed. Attorney S. Weening of the seventeen-year-old prime suspect says the boy acted out of some sort of emergency defense.It is unclear whether the burglars knew Arnold Vink was home at the time they forced their way into his residence. Possibly they did, because they were after his PIN number. On the other hand, they may have thought that once inside, they would find that code. That is probably the question on which the court's investigation will focus, says attorney S. van Berge Henegouwen of the 15-year-old suspect. The latter is invoking his right to remain silent, but has indicated that he wants to be transparent at the court hearing, says his counsel.
Justice in Maastricht would not say anything about the case because hearings of several suspects are still planned.
