Jihad suspect does not want to appear in court in Den Bosch (Omroepbrabant.nl)
- Marcel Huisman
The jihad suspect suspected of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl from Heesch did not appear in court in Den Bosch on Friday. The 38-year-old from Amsterdam also broke with his lawyer. The hearing has therefore been postponed for the time being.
The girl from Heesch was detained in Belgium for two months last summer and married there under Islamic law. The prosecution has conducted extensive witness interviews and assumes that the man also wanted to travel out to Syria to join a terrorist organization. Which one that is, is not yet officially known.
