A 14-year-old boy from Riemst, Belgium, was arrested Saturday for a stabbing incident on the Weert in Maastricht.
In the stabbing incident, Wednesday night, July 1, another boy was injured.
Investigations reveal that the boy from Riemst is also suspected of involvement in an assault and robbery in the Frontenpark in Maastricht on Sunday night, May 3. The 15-year-old victim was kicked, punched and spat on and then robbed of his cell phone, wallet and jacket.
The 14-year-old boy is in custody. He will be arraigned Tuesday before the magistrate judge. Given the suspect's age, police cannot share further information.
