LEEUWARDEN - Two Leeuwarden residents aged 23 and 26 and a 39-year-old Assen resident pushed some passers-by into the canal Sunday morning on the Voorstreek. There was no reason for this. The men then threw bicycles and stones at the people standing in the water. One of the assailants also jumped into the water to push a victim underwater.
Meanwhile, bystanders alerted the police via 1-1-2. Multiple officers arrived on the scene and apprehended the perpetrators.
