31-year-old Sergio K., who received 30 years in prison for his role in the shooting death of Sven Prins in Brunssum, was not present at all at the violent shooting. So said the man who received a life sentence for allegedly being the shooter on Thursday under oath during the appeal hearing at the court of appeal in Den Bosch.
Prins was shot dead with multiple salvos from an AK47 - an automatic firearm - during a chase in September 2015. Three men from Brunssum were convicted in 2018. Shooter Jurandy T. received a life sentence. Co-defendants Xionel B. and Sergio K. received 30 years in prison.
