In this case, the attorneys Mr. Landerloo and Mr. Weening represented two suspects who wanted to travel to Syria. They were suspected of terrorist offenses. In the multi-judge criminal court of first instance, both men were acquitted. On appeal, one of them was still convicted. In the cassation procedure at the Supreme Court, which was conducted by one of our attorneys together with Mr. Weening, important legal questions were answered. For this reason, this case can also be considered a test case.
