In the investigative investigation into the murder of Nicky Verstappen, the Justice Department announced at a press conference on May 23, 2017, that it will conduct a large-scale DNA relationship investigation. The 11-year-old Nicky Verstappen from Heibloem was found dead on Brunssummerheide during a youth camp in August 1998. A perpetrator has never been found to date.
