On November 27, the District Court of Limburg rendered judgment in the case in which we are assisting Donny M.. Client was sentenced for, among other things, the murder of Gino to 25 years' imprisonment, TBS with compulsory treatment and an art. 38z measure.
Although the defense does not agree with certain parts of the verdict, client has chosen not to exercise his right to appeal the verdict. As client himself has previously acknowledged, the proven facts are heinous and that is the reason he accepts the sentence and measures imposed by the court. In addition, he does not want to do it to the parties involved, especially Gino's next of kin, to be confronted again with these heinous facts during the appeal process.
