Frenkie Peeters the leader of the Gang of Venlo, sentenced to life in prison for multiple murders, wants the prospect of a life outside prison. That is why he has initiated summary proceedings against the Dutch state. Peeters believes that he never got a fair chance and that there is backroom politics involved. ''It is a big play.'' The judge will rule on Sept. 4.
