The Court of Appeal Arnhem-Leeuwarden handles appeals from the district courts of Gelderland, Central Netherlands, Northern Netherlands, and Overijssel, except for social security and civil service cases (Central Appeals Tribunal) and other administrative law cases (Council of State). Approximately 400 people are employed full-time.
Our advice / tip
Never make a statement to anyone from the police before consulting with a lawyer: not as a suspect and not as a witness either. This also applies when the police officer is not sitting at a computer. The police may write down everything you say, even when you’re not in an official interrogation situation.
