The Penitentiary Institution (PI) Nieuwegein consists of one location.
Upon entry, the porter checks you and your luggage for prohibited items. This is done using a metal detector and scanning equipment. Please consider your choice of clothing. If you don’t pass through the metal detector “without setting it off”, you will not be granted access. In addition to “underwire bras”, jewelry, hair clips, zippers, metal buttons on pants, and similar items can affect the detection results. For a smooth entry process, it’s advisable to take this into account as well.

The police may write down everything you say, even when you’re not in an official interrogation situation.
