Two men from Arnhem were arrested at Schiphol Airport who were previously detained in Turkey. The men, aged 18 and 23, are suspected of attempting to join the terrorist organization IS.
The two were arrested on the orders of justice in the eastern Netherlands. Searches were also conducted at two addresses in Arnhem.
According to Omroep Gelderland, the two went missing in Arnhem and were detained by Turkish authorities. Mayor Kaiser said earlier that the two were being watched because of radicalization.
Justice does not want to give more information about the case in the interest of the investigation.
