Suspects in murder case detained longer
MAASTRICHT - The two suspects in the murder of 45-year-old Chinese Cha, whose body was found Oct. 18 in a maize field in Nijswiller, remain in custody for now. The corpse, it has only now been announced, was found in the cornfield in a traveling case.
The suspects - a man and a woman - come from China, are both 36 years old and illegally in the Netherlands. According to counsel S. Weening of the female suspect, she stated that she herself had no part in the murder/manslaughter. However, the woman was present during the act. According to counsel G. van Tilborg of the male suspect, he has now made some statements about the case for the first time. Van Tilborg cannot yet say anything about their content.
