The facility offers opportunities for maximum self-reliance (individual freedom of movement) of detainees, to prevent institutionalization and better prepare for return to society. <\/p>\n\n
This new facility accommodates more than 1,000 detainees, including detained psychiatric patients. Special care is provided for them in an in-house clinic, the Penitentiary Psychiatric Center (PPC). The facility is multifunctional and flexible in purpose. Apart from the PPC, the EZV (Extra Care Facility) and the low-stimulus unit, almost all cells are designed as multi-person cells. The PPC was put into use on June 1, 2016, and the prison and remand center will follow in early September 2016. <\/p>\n\t\t
